Warranty Terms

These Warranty Terms describe the voluntary product warranty offered by Sunpal Enterprise (“Sunpal”, “we”, “us” or “our”) for eligible products sold through sunpal.my and related channels. They are in addition to — and do not replace — rights under Malaysia’s Consumer Protection Act 1999.

1. Coverage overview

Warranty periods and coverage vary by product and are stated on the product page, packaging, warranty card or order confirmation. Unless a longer period is specified for a particular SKU, coverage begins on the original purchase date from Sunpal.

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal, intended use when the product is installed and operated according to the manufacturer instructions and applicable safety standards.

2. How to make a claim

To start a claim:

  1. Contact Sunpal Support via the customer application or Contact page.
  2. Provide proof of purchase, product model, serial number and a clear description of the issue.
  3. Share photos, videos or diagnostic data if requested.
  4. Follow any troubleshooting or return instructions we issue.

Registering your product after purchase helps us verify serials and process claims faster. Registration is not required to keep statutory rights.

3. What we may do

If a valid warranty claim is accepted, we may at our option:

  • repair the product;
  • replace it with the same or a reasonably equivalent model;
  • refund the purchase price if repair or replacement is not reasonably available.

Replaced parts or products may become Sunpal’s property. Cosmetically refurbished equivalents of like kind and quality may be used where appropriate.

4. What is not covered

Unless prohibited by law, this voluntary warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear, capacity fade within expected LiFePO₄ ageing, or consumables;
  • cosmetic damage that does not affect function;
  • damage from accident, drop, impact, water ingress, fire, flood, lightning, surge or pest damage;
  • misuse, neglect, incorrect charging, incorrect wiring, incompatible equipment or unsafe DIY work;
  • unauthorised modification, opening of sealed parts, or repair by unqualified persons;
  • improper storage, transport or installation contrary to instructions;
  • operation outside published temperature, voltage, current or environmental limits;
  • software, connectivity or third-party service interruptions outside Sunpal’s control;
  • products without valid proof of purchase or with altered/removed serial numbers.

5. Installation requirements

Electrical and energy products should be installed by appropriately qualified persons. Warranty support for system-level faults may require evidence of correct installation, protective devices, cable sizing and configuration. Incorrect third-party installation may void voluntary warranty coverage for resulting damage, without affecting non-excludable statutory rights for product defects.

6. Batteries and deep-cycle use

LiFePO₄ batteries are designed for repeated cycling. Performance depends on depth of discharge, charge profile, temperature and system design. Claims related to capacity should include test conditions and supporting measurements where reasonably available.

7. Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sunpal’s responsibility under this voluntary warranty is limited to repair, replacement or refund as described above. This does not limit liability that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Contact

Warranty and RMA requests: sunpal.my/contact or the Sunpal warranty portal in the customer application.
